The SlingShot Artists' Group is a new student organization for students working in the visual arts. Students interested in participating in gallery shows on and off campus, hosting life drawing sessions and taking trips to galleries in Seattle and other areas are encouraged to contact SlingShot Artists' Group.

To coincide with the upcoming Blue Scholar show, the CPJ Arts and Entertainment co-ordinator decided to drop in on its local chapter of the Hip-Hop Congress for a dose of funky-fresh-dope-stupid-fly-sickness.
The Evergreen Hip-Hop Congress has been around in one form or  another for 14 years. It has existed under in its current iteration since 2006.
“Hip hop is a way of life, I think about it every day," says member Jid’ah. “It’s a creative outlet. Like playing the violin, or snowboarding or whatever."

In case you haven’t noticed, it’s week nine now. That means you only have one week left to prepare for the most important part of the quarter—potluck time! But if you’re anything like me, you’re too busy working on final exams and newspaper articles to make a scintillating casserole or a ferocious salad. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned at college, it’s that ants on a log will get you nowhere. That’s why I’ve made this fabulous recipe guide. This week’s recipe is a luscious concoction featuring my favorite edible mascot—the geoduck.
