Grab your banjo: 4th Annual Oly Old Time Festival

The Oly Old Time Festival's stated mission is to, "spread a love of traditional Appalachian music and create a good excuse to interact with real, live, people through music and dance and pie-eating." It will probably also be a good excuse to pick up that dormant mandolin in your basement and not bathe for four days. The 4th annual festival will be held February 16th to 19th; it promises a weekend full of old-timey music, square dancing, free workshops, and, "jamming 'til the wee hours of the morning." All the events are at the classy Olympia Ballroom, inside The Urban Onion building, 116 Legion Way SE, Downtown Olympia. You can get your weekend passes now for $15 at www.olyoldtime.org, or $25 at the door (Kids under 12 get in free).
