This Friday and Satruday, Dec. 9-10, the Longhouse is having their annual Holiday Native Art Fair. On Friday the Fair went from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m and was followed by the opening of Cultural Connections in the Evergreen Art Gallery from 5 p.m to 7 p.m. with and opening talk by Herman Pi’ikea Clark, a visiting artist.
The art fair on Saturday opens at 10 a.m and continues until 5 p.m. in the Longhouse. During both days the Longhouse will be selling delicious food such as Fry Bread, chili, chowder, and Indian Tacos. The food is being offered by the Hazel Pete Institute of Chehalis Basketry group as a fund raiser for their annual Generations Rising Native youth art day that will be hosted in March.
