To celebrate the beginning of Winter Quarter and the start of a new calendar year, CPJ staff members are publishing their goals for the next few months. Read on to see what you can expect this quarter, and send us your feedback!
Katy Wilson-Albert, Web Designer: "My goal for the quarter is to make the website more aesthetically pleasing, easier to use, and more enjoyable for the students of Evergreen."
Troy Mead, Copy Editor: "I'm going to contribute content at least once a week. Some of that will be in the form of comics."
Kelli Tokos, Arts & Entertainment Coordinator: "I vow as Arts and Entertainment coordinator to renovate my section into a showcase of the vast creative minds at Evergreen."
Issac Scott, Audio/Video Coordinator: "This quarter I will be putting up videos of student artists, including interviews, footage of exclusive performances by bands, & the like. Its gonna be cool. You're gonna be into it."
Jo Sahlin, Editor in Chief: "I vow to facilitate more hard news coverage of Evergreen, raise awareness of the CPJ website, and recruit more voices for its content."
Eric Spahr, Business Manager: "I vow to do what I can this quarter to make the website a better place to go to access information for the Evergreen community."
Melkorka Licea, Managing Editor: “This quarter I vow not to over-eat Red Vines. I vow not to cry over the seagull who decided to never come back. And most importantly, I vow to make jingles about the CPJ. Cute ones.”
Grayson Del Faro, Comics Coordinator: "I WANT MORE COMICS. I WANT SO MANY COMICS THAT YOU'LL FIND THEM IN YOUR HAIR AND IN YOUR BRAIN WHILE YOU'RE SLEEPING AND IN YOUR SECRET PLACES WHERE YOU SHOULD NEVER FIND COMICS. I WANT ALL THE COMICS."
Carson Ball, Letters & Opinions Coordinator: "I vow that for this quarter of winter break 2012 I will be your voice, the student, if you have anything to say, presenting or dissenting, I will be there to make sure you are heard. If you are unsatisfied with the school/life/the world myself and the Cooper Point Journal want to hear from you! I promise to devote my time and energy at the Cooper Point Journal to accomplishing this objective."
