Evergreen Men and Women fall on the road

After the men and women's soccer teams picked up positive results at home on Wednesday the 28th, they went on the road.

The men, who fought back in the dying minutes of their match on Wednesday to gain an impressive win, were out-classed by the ruthless Oregon Tech Owls. The Geoducks allowed them to score five goals. Evergreen kept the game close in the first half, the score line reading 2-3 with goals produced by Corey Johnson and Caleb Phillips. However, the Owls scored two more goals, making the comeback impossible.

The women, who let a 3-nil first half lead slip and conceded three in the second half on Wednesday, were kept off the score sheet this weekend when they traveled down to Eugene to face the Northwest Christian Beacons. Evergreen allowed two first half goals, which proved to be too much for the Geoducks.

After their match in Eugene, Oregon, the Geoducks traveled north to face the Corban Warriors in Salem, Oregon. Evergreen took the lead after 11 minutes when Anastasia Daniels scored, but the Warriors were able to level the score and take the lead before half time. When play resumed, Anastasia Daniels scored her second, tying the match and less than a minute later the Warriors retook the lead. Corban was able to tack on a fourth goal to make the final score 4-2.

The next home matches for both the men and the women are on Saturday the 8th. The women play at 1 pm and the men follow at 3pm.
